How to Post an Ad

Before you create your ad, make sure you have signed in to your Humara Pakistan Online account by clicking Login/Register and entering your account information. If you don’t have an account, you can create an account in few minutes (for new registration or mobile number verification please visit our videos ).

To post an ad:

  1. Click the Post an Ad button at the top of the Humara Pakistan Online page.
  2. Type in the name of what you’re selling so we can suggest a category.
  3. Select from the categories shown or click Or browse to find a category. If browsing, continue to select from the subcategories until the Continue button appears.
  4. Enter your postcode, then click GO. If you’d rather select from a list of cities, click Select your location instead and choose your city. When you have your location set, click Continue.
  5. Under the Ad Title section, click into the box and type in a descriptive title
  6. Add pictures to your ad by clicking Add Images and selecting the files from your computer. If you’re having trouble, follow the troubleshooting steps in our I Can't Add Photos article.
  7. Click into the box in the Description section and type in information about your ad. Be as detailed as possible. If you're not sure what information you should add, think about what you would want to know if you were the buyer.
  8. Enter the price using numbers only. The Rupee symbol and punctuation will be added automatically when you post your ad.
  9. Choose your feature options. Features are ways to promote your ad and get more views. If you don’t want to promote your ad, you can skip this section
  10. Choose your contact method. It defaults to the email linked to your account, but you can choose the phone only by selecting phone and then deselecting email.
  11. 11. Double-check your ad details. When you’re ready, click Post My Ad.
Not letting you post?

If you receive a 'please fill out all required fields' error or see a section highlighted in red, it means that there is information missing or not formatted correctly. Click the red section. If it was empty, enter the information. If you already had information in that field, try removing any symbols or specialized punctuation. If it's a number-specific field (price, kilometers, etc.), make sure you use numbers only.

If you are still having trouble? Try clearing your cookies and cache.

How to Delete an Ad

Whether your item is sold or you want to delete and repost it, removing your ads only takes a moment.

  1. Click on the user menu Image of the user menu button at the top of the page.
  2. Select Manage My Ads from the drop-down list.
  3. Find the ad you'd like to remove in your list.
  4. Click Delete Image of the delete button within the box for that ad.
  5. Choose either 'Yes, my ad was successful' or 'No, my ad was not successful'.

Once you have told us whether or not your ad was successful, it will be removed from the queues. After it’s removed, you can still view the ad in your Inactive Ads section. Ads listed in this section are visible only to you. Note:Ads in your Inactive Ads section cannot be removed.

Deleted your ad by accident?

No problem. You can restore any of your deleted ads for free as long as they haven't expired. To restore your ad:

  1. Click on the user menu Image of the user menu button. at the top of the page.
  2. Select Manage My Ads from the drop-down list.
  3. Change the Active Ads menu to Inactive Ads.
  4. Double check that the details are correct, and then click Update My Ad.

Removing Inactive Ads

The inactive ads section saves the ads that you have deleted. Inactive ads are not visible to anyone but you. We keep them for you so you can repost them or use them as a reference for future ads. Inactive ads can't be deleted or removed from your list.

Sending & Receiving Messages

Whether you are buying, selling, or offering a service – being able to talk to each other is the heart of any deal. Here is how to get started.

Sending Messages to an Ad
  1. Contact the seller of an item by clicking the Email button found under the Contact Details section of an ad.
  2. Type your message into the box. Remember, detailed messages mean less back and forth, and more time to enjoy your day..
  3. Click Send.
Receiving Messages and Sending Replies

When someone replies, you will get their message in two places. The first copy will go into the Messages section of your account. The second copy will be sent to the email address linked to your account.

Replying by Email

To respond directly from your email, hit the reply button as you would with any other email. Don’t worry; your email will be masked.

Replying in the Messages Section
  1. Log into your account, then click on the user menu at the top of the page.
  2. Select Messages.
  3. Click on the conversation you’d like to reply to.
  4. Type your message into the box that says 'Send message to…'
  5. Click Send Message.
Deleting Conversations
  1. Log into your account and click on the user menu at the top of the page.
  2. Select Messages.
  3. Click on the conversation you’d like to remove.
  4. Select Delete Conversation.

Tip: After deleting a conversation, it will not be visible in the Messages section. However, if you still have the email copy, you can reply there. After a new email is sent, it will reappear in Messages.

Can't See Your Messages?

If you have a reply in messages but cannot see the email version, you may need to add [email protected] and the domain Humara Pakistan Online to your email safe list. This will prevent messages from getting caught by your email filters. Remember to check your junk and spam folders.


Humara Pakistan Online is a community where trust matters. As you buy, sell, and trade your profile will help increase your credibility with other members. Whether you are the buyer or the seller, you will be able to view profiles, see their reviews, and get to know each other before you make a deal. .

When you click on a member’s profile, you can see the following information:

Viewing A Buyer’s Profile

When a buyer sends you a message, you will be able to view their profile (if they have previous ratings). To see their profile:

  1. Go into your Message section.
  2. Select the message from the buyer whose profile you want to view.
  3. 3. Click on the buyer’s name at the top of their message.

If you don't see any stars or cannot click on their name, they don't have any ratings yet.

Viewing A Seller’s Profile

Whether you are a buyer or want to view your own seller profile, you can do so by following the steps below:

  1. Open the seller’s ad.
  2. On the right side, you will see the seller information section. From here, you can see the most important parts of their profile.
  3. For more details, click View Profile.
  4. Use the tabs to toggle back and forth from Live ads to Reviews.

Missing Information

A user’s profile will be mostly blank if they are new to Humara Pakistan Online or don’t message other buyers or sellers very often. With each response sent, their averages will be determined. Once they have hit enough replies to create a general average, it will appear on their profile.

Searching Effectively

Humara Pakistan Online offers 4 searching tools that will help you narrow in on that perfect item you are looking for. Get to know how they each work to make the most of your searches.

I’m looking for…

The ‘I am looking for…’ field is a keyword search. It matches what you type into the titles of ads on Humara Pakistan Online. Choose your keywords carefully. If all of the words you type in are not in the title, the ad will not appear in your search results.

Postcode or Location

The ‘Postcode or location’ field will limit your search results to a specific region. As you type in your location, you will see a drop-down list of options. If you don’t see your area appear, try an area nearby.


Once you have started your search, you will see a section titled ‘Category’ on the left side of the screen (if you are using a small screen, you can find them by clicking Refine, then Category). You can select from the list of categories and subcategories. Choose the most specific category, for the most relevant results.


Filters allow you to limit your searches to ads with a specific attribute. After you begin your search, filter options will appear on the left side of the search results page (if you are using a small screen, you can find them by clicking Refine).

The basic filters are:

  • Price minimum and maximum
  • Ads with pictures
  • Search title
  • Urgent or Feature ads

There are also category-specific filters in some sections (e.g., Property type filter in the Property for Rent category or the mileage filter in Motors). After you have started a basic search, remember to check what filter options are available.

How to Get Better Results

Change Up Your Keywords

Everyone phrases things differently. If you cannot finding what you are looking for, try changing the words.

Example: You are looking for a lawn mowing service but have not found many ads in your area. Try searching for ‘grass cutting’ or ‘garden maintenance’ instead. All sellers phrase things differently, so rephrase and try different combinations.

Use a Filter in Place of a Keyword

Most sellers on Humara Pakistan Online are not professional advertisers. They often don’t put the most relevant keywords in their titles. They may include spelling mistakes. Using filters will show ads that match your needs.

Example: You are looking for a Suzuki Alto under Rs:1500000, which is also within 30 minutes of Islamabad. Typing in ‘Suzuki Alto 30 minutes from Islamabad Rs:1500000’ is unlikely to get a lot of results. Instead, you can use filters for each of those attributes. If you want something not included in the filters, you can add keywords for that detail.

Select the Most Specific Category

Some categories, like For Sale, have multiple levels of subcategories. The more specific the category you select, the more relevant your results will be.

Example: You are looking for a new kitchen table. When you search using the keyword ‘table’, you will see ads for bedside tables, table tennis, and more. Selecting the subcategory Dining Tables & Chairs will remove everything other than kitchen tables.

Creating & Managing Alerts

Alerts keep an eye on the queues when you are busy. Set it up, go about your day and wait for the ads to come to you.

Creating your alert:

  1. 1. Enter a category, keywords, and location in the search bar.
  2. Click Go.
  3. 3. Once you are satisfied that the search is returning the results and you would like to set an alert for, click Set Search Alert on the left side of the page.

You should now see your alert within the My Alerts page. Alert emails are sent out every day if there are new results. If there are no new results, an alert will not be sent out.

Editing your alerts:

  1. Open the user menu.
  2. Select My Alerts from the drop-down list.
  3. You’ll be brought to a list of all of your alerts. Under the description of each is the toggle on/off button. To turn an alert off (but not delete it) click on the toggle. To turn it back on, simply click the toggle again at any point.

Deleting your alerts:

  1. Open the user menu.
  2. Select My Alerts from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Delete next to the alert you’d like to remove. If you want to delete all of your alerts at the same time, you can click Delete All at the top of the list.

Not receiving your Alert emails? Make sure that you check your junk and/or spam filters and add [email protected] and [email protected] to your safe senders list.

Checking If Your Ad Is Active

  1. Make sure you're logged into the correct account, then click on the user menu at the top of the page.
  2. Select Manage My Ads.
  3. The Manage My Ads page defaults to active ads. If you don't see your ad there, click Inactive Ads.

If Your Ad is Active

If your ad is active but you can’t find it on the site, remember to include your local area as well as your ad’s category in the search bar. Looking in too wide an area or category can make even highly ranked ads hard to find.

If you’re using keywords and still cannot find your ads, remember that keywords need to match your ad's title. Double check that the words you’re using are included in your title and are spelled the same way.

If Your Ad is Inactive

Your ad will be marked with the reason it is inactive. However over the information icon to see an explanation. Here's a cheat sheet:

I Can't Edit My Ad


If the price isn't showing on your ad the way you wanted, you may have used the wrong format. The Price field will only accept whole numbers, with no spaces or symbols. For example, if you wanted to list your item for Rs17,000 you would need to enter it as 17000. The Rs symbol and punctuation will be added automatically afterward.


URLs can appear in your ad description if you enter a full stop ( . ) without leaving space on one side. For example, if you were to type in ‘In good condition. It is only…’ the section ‘condition. It’ would turn into a URL. Add a space between ‘condition’ and ‘it’ to remove the URL.


Humara Pakistan Online location selection may pick an unexpected area based on your post code. If your ad has already been posted, you will need to create a new ad to fix the location. To avoid this issue, click on the ‘Select your location instead’ button. It can be found just below the post code field when creating your ad. You can then select the location you want your ad to be listed in.

My Ad was Removed

Other than expiring naturally, there are 3 ways that your ad can be removed from Humara Pakistan Online. To check what happened to your ad, go into the Manage my Ads section. Click Inactive ads or use the Active/Inactive drop-down menu.

On Hold

An ad marked Hold means that something about the ad needs to be edited before it can be reposted. Check your email for more information on what specifically needs to be changed.


Ads that say Deleted have been removed from the user’s end. If you or someone using your account accidentally deleted your ad, you can repost it right away by clicking Repost on that ad.


Removed means that your ad has been removed from Humara Pakistan Online for a violation of our site policies. When this happens, an email will be sent to your account’s primary email explaining which policy was broken. If you can’t find the email, check your email’s junk and/or spam folders. You can review our site policies in the General Posting Policies article.

As long as you don’t continue to break any of our policies, you may repost your ad at any time. If the item, service, or job you’re posting is against our policies, we ask that you please refrain from reposting.

I Can't Add Photos

There can be a number of issues that interfere with uploading images to the site. If you’re having trouble, try the following:

  • Check the size of your images. Each individual photo must be under 5 MB. If your photos are over 5 MB, reduce the size and try again. 
  • Check the format of the images. Humara Pakistan Online accepts JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF and ICO . If your image is not one of these formats, you will need to convert it before uploading. 
  • Make sure your web browser isn’t interfering.

I Can't Find My Featured Ad

(This feature is temporarily suspended)

Once your ad is active, any purchased features will take effect right away. If you don’t see your ad listed as Featured, please note the following:

  • Each page of search results only shows a maximum of 5 Featured ads at a time. If there are more than 5 Featured ads in any given search, the order will be chosen randomly and the next set of 5 will be shown on the following page. Another 5 will be shown on the 3rd page, and so on until all Featured ads have been seen, at which point it will repeat.
  • Each time the page is refreshed or a new user searches, the order will be changed so that all Featured ads get an equal chance on the first page.
  • When you apply a Featured promotion, it creates a second version that will appear in the Featured section. You will still see the normal version of your ad moving throughout the queues. If you don’t see the Featured banner on your ad, you’re likely looking at the free version.

How to Check Quickly

To see your ad in the full queue, search by its location and category. Remember that the wider the search you enter, the more Featured ads it will include. Try searching your immediate suburb and the most specific category first. If you see it there, you can rest assured that it will be seen in wider searches as well. If it’s a busy category such as Motors, you may also need to add a keyword to find it right away.

You can see all Featured ads at once by looking under Filters, then Other Options and clicking Feature ads. In this view, Featured ads are shown in the order of the date they were posted instead of a rotational order.

If I Can’t See It on Page 1, How Will Anyone Else?

While it can be frustrating not to see your Featured ads on page 1 of every search, remember that they are rotated randomly for every search. This means that your ad will still be seen at the top of page 1 for many users, even if you don’t see it there in the first few searches.

In searches where there are less than 5 Featured ads, your ad won’t just be at the top of page 1; it will be at the top of every page of search results.
